ASB Case 19914 – Update 8th June 22 - Threatening behaviour and assault I was engaged in a community litter-pick and rubbish-clearance, stopping to make a few enquiries at the local ‘Pindi’ supermarket, DY9 8LQ, when M Bradley (157 High Street) emerged from the shelves to the rear (circa 1730) and began some of his ‘rather disquieting’ behaviour; during the exchange, witnessed by the duty-manager behind the counter, Bradley ‘swung for me’ with his fist making contact with my outstretched hand, including the threat, as he left the building, “You’ve got to come ‘round the back, yet”. Supermarket staff refused to ring 999, so I made my way to the Pharmacy, where I had waited for the Police on an earlier occasion, but the queue was a little long; Bradley appeared a few yards up-street, so, having had a chat with the local vicar, Reverend Simon Falshaw, moments before this incident, I made my way as quickly as possible to the vicarage. After 999 had been called and with the house about to sit down for their dinner, I suggested taking refuge in the church; as the Police had not arrived when the Reverend unlocked the door at 8pm, he kindly escorted me past the door to Bradley’s apartment to that of my own. Please forward as appropriate. DAustin 162 High Street, Lye Village, Stourbridge. PS: As mediation has clearly failed, can the authorities consider another solution to this problem?
